Pravilo: stretched through the whole body

Held in soft cuffs, lifted and stretched through the whole body by a trained guide. Here is what it is, what it feels like if you have never tried it, and how we would bring it to Plumeria properly. Of everything Bobby tried on his research trip, this surprised him most.

Bobby held horizontally in a Pravilo rig, straps at both wrists and ankles pulling in opposite directions.
Dubai Bobby held horizontally, arms and legs stretched in opposite directions.

What it is

A frame, soft cuffs and a guide

Pravilo is an assisted stretching system. You are fitted with padded cuffs at your wrists and ankles, attached by straps and chains to a strong frame, and gently lifted and stretched in several directions at once.

A trained guide controls every adjustment: how high, how far, which direction and for how long. You never pull yourself into position. The frame and the guide do the work, and you breathe and let go.

Practitioners describe it as rooted in old Slavic movement traditions and associated with the Russian martial art Systema. That is their story rather than something we can independently confirm, and it is not why we like it. We like it because of how it felt.

From the beginner’s side

What a session feels like

Here is a session from your side of the straps, step by step. It is based on Bobby’s own sessions in Dubai: the setup, the assisted positions, the stretching and the feeling afterwards.

01

Talk and warm up

A conversation about your health and any injuries, then breathing and gentle movement on the ground.

02

Lie down and strap in

Cuffs go on your wrists and ankles while you lie on a mat. Some stretches start right there, like a supported neck and spine stretch.

03

Lifted, bit by bit

The guide raises and adjusts you gradually. You set the intensity, and a good stretch should never become pain.

04

Every direction

Face up, on each side, face down, and for some people fully upside down, with rests in between.

05

Back to the ground

A slow, guided return to the mat, then time to lie still before you get up.

06

Afterwards

Bobby describes feeling looser and lighter through his whole body. That is how it felt to him; everyone is different.

Every detail matters when you are suspended

How we would run it at Plumeria

Impressive equipment is not enough. Qualified instruction, gradual progression, screening, your confidence and a calm environment are what make this responsible.

  • Instructors properly trained and certified in the method
  • A health and injury conversation before every first session
  • Beginners start on the ground; lifting and inversion only when you are ready
  • You choose the intensity, and you can stop at any point
  • Not for pregnant clients or under-18s; anyone recovering from surgery, injury or childbirth, or with a heart, blood pressure, eye or spinal condition, gets medical clearance first
